Who it's for
- Professionals and graduate students who want real-time corrections while writing English emails, reports, and papers. It integrates directly into browsers, Word, and email apps.
- Anyone looking to adjust the tone (formality, confidence) of their English writing. The paid plan provides style suggestions.
- International students with lots of English assignments. Plagiarism detection is also included in the paid plan.
Drawbacks
- It does not support Korean at all. Use Bareun or the Pusan National University grammar checker for Korean proofreading.
- The free plan only catches basic grammar and spelling, while style and clarity suggestions require a paid subscription.
- Because all typed text is sent to the servers, you should check company security policies before using it on confidential documents.
Getting started
- Sign up on the official website and install the browser extension.
- When you write in English in Gmail, Google Docs, and other apps, errors are underlined. Click them to apply fixes.
- Paste your text into the web editor to see an overall score and a list of suggestions.
- Set your goals (audience, formality, intent) to tailor the suggestions to your needs.
- The paid plan unlocks tone adjustments, full-sentence rewrites, and plagiarism checks. Try it for a month before deciding.
